Made by Anatomy is a creative haven for one-of-a-kind brides who are looking for a wedding gown and experience unlike any other. Together, with the creative team, brides can explore their wedding dress wishes for a custom piece, a redesigned, reconstructed heirloom gown, alteration or custom veil.
Buffalo native Ali Eagen graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007 and landed a job designing sweaters for Abercrombie & Fitch. Realizing that she didn’t align with corporate fashion and longing for a way to connect with her craft on a deeper level, she opened the doors to anatomy late October, 2010 in hometown Buffalo, New York.
Since then, she has worked with over one thousand clients ranging from custom garments, vintage reconstructions and restorations, creative alterations and more.
In addition to her business, Ali has taught classes at Buffalo State College in the Fashion Department and has co-founded an indie bridal organization called Buffalo Indie Weddings. The organization connects the creative, engaged couples of WNY to the best and most unique wedding vendors through hip bridal shows and an annual publication, With Love magazine.
Ali has traveled to participate in bridal events in Philadelphia and New York, and has been featured in a major motion picture filmed in Buffalo, New York. Her work has been revered on national blogs such as Ruffled Blog, Magnolia Rouge (01/2105), Way Out Weddings, and Off-Beat Bride. She has won several local awards, including Artvoice Best of Buffalo’s Best Fashion Designer in 2014, and sits on the panel of advisors for the Fashion Department at Buffalo State.
