DESIGNERS APPLICATION CLOSED

CHAMPAGNE LOOK APPLICATION CLOSED

Fashion’s Initial Garment [fig™] is a fearless fashion tribute showcasing current Buffalo Fashion Designers, Seamstresses, and Tailors as they continue to push the boundaries of Fashion in Buffalo, New York.

A portion of proceeds from fig™ will be donated to Stitch Buffalo. Presented at Seneca One Tower.
  • For Buffalo's style cognoscenti, fig™ is an immersive, fearless fashion tribute, serving as a platform to showcase local multicultural talent with transcendent entertainment and music, veiled in sophisticated glamour, presented in an innovative venue, and aspiring to be Buffalo's most coveted annual event. Taking place on Saturday, September 30 in the Grand Hall of the newly renovated Seneca One Tower, this premier event is aiming to change Buffalo’s perception of fashion and promote the city as a rising fashion destination.

  • Fig will feature a diverse lineup of 12 emerging and established cut and sew designers. The show will be a real eye-opener for those who yearn for Buffalo to be a diverse cultural Mecca.

  • The event is more than just a fashion show; it's a celebration of self-expression. Fig™ is an all-encompassing experience that encourages guests to dress to impress. Attendees can look forward to a 100ft runway, a red carpet, a step and repeat, an electrifying post-runway dance party, fueled by the exhilarating beats of internationally acclaimed DJs, a custom designed Strolling Prosecco Dress, immersive photo booths, and captivating light mapping elements by the one and only Tom Burke.

  • VIP tickets guarantee up close and personal views of the action, valet parking, reserved seating, small bites and open bar (details coming soon), and swag bags. General admission is standing-room only during the one-hour runway show.

  • We are proud to announce that Stitch Buffalo is a benefactor of the event. Stitch encompasses much of what the fashion show stands for, in that the organization was established to provide local refugees with the design resources that they need to be self-sufficient and sustainable.

  • Buffalo's fashion legacy includes notable figures like Kim Alexis, Beverly Johnson, Mara Hoffman, and Adam Lippes. With Buffalo's resurgence, there's a real opportunity to establish the city as a fashion-forward design hub, where more local designers are spotlighted in a light that is nothing short of brilliant.

  • Now that you’ve decided to drive to Seneca One, there are many parking options. More than most people think! While there is always street parking to be found around the perimeter of Seneca One, we do have one ramp that we highly recommend to our visitors: Seneca One Ramp at 50 Exchange Street. The cost is no more than $5 for the entire day, is very safe, and contains a bridge directly to Seneca One.

Once you pull in and take a ticket, we recommend heading directly to the third level where you will have a close spot to the bridge to Seneca One. If you do not park on the third level, use the elevator to get there and the entrance to the bridge is located directly to your right.

Now that you have crossed the bridge to Seneca One, head to your right through the garden/plaza (future beer garden).

Once you pass the retail building on the plaza, turn left towards the West Entrance which is on west side of Main Street.
